In reply to <a href="https://mikekhorev.com/7-reasons-seo-important-business-need-invest#comment-1337">Ben Lorenzo</a>.

Hi there Ben,

For SEO tools/software, there are plenty to choose from, both free and paid, and you might want to check our previous guide on this to learn further.

However, SEO is more about strategy/tactics rather than tools, and although this can be a pretty broad subject (again, check here for the full guide). However, the first and most important step in starting an SEO campaign is to figure out your target audience (market research) and find the right target keywords to target this audience (keyword research).

Hopefully, it’s clear enough,

Thanks and best regards,

Hi Mike,

Thanks for this, really good post and yeah, you covered some interesting facts I’ve never seen anywhere else before. Props!

While I agree that SEO will (still) have a prominent role in 2020 and onwards in growing your business from various aspects, I sometimes am confused on where to start. Can you probably recommend something, an SEO software, probably?

Thanks!

In reply to <a href="https://mikekhorev.com/7-reasons-seo-important-business-need-invest#comment-1335">Sonia Chandler</a>.

Hi again Sonia,

Thanks for the information,

For the SaaS niche/industry, the three principles I’ve discussed above still stand. However, since you mentioned your company is B2B, pay extra attention that there can be different roles/buyer personas involved in the purchase decision. So, you might need to cover different topics with your content to cater to these different target audiences.

Hope it’s clear, and let me know how I can help further,

Thanks,

Hi Sonia,

Thanks for your time to visit this blog, and glad you enjoyed the post, appreciate it.

Yes, as I’ve discussed in the article, SEO is still very important in generating leads and revenue.

As for your question, may I know what niche/industry you are currently in, so I can probably offer some insights?

However, my general advice is that in 2020’s SEO, we’ll need to focus on three things:

The quality and relevance of your content according to your audience’s needs and search intents
Ensuring readability, optimized layout, page load speed, mobile-responsiveness, and other factors to keep visitors as long as possible on your website (improving user experience)
Optimizing the technical aspect of your site to make sure Google can properly crawl and index all pages on your site

That’s it basically. Do them consistently, and your page should slowly but surely climb the SERP.

Hope this helps, thanks and best regards,

Thanks for this post, Mike, it’s a really inspiring article and you covered some interesting statistics I’ve never heard before. To be honest, I was getting abit skeptical on SEO with how organic traffic continuously declining in the past couple of years as people spend more time on social media and Youtube than websites.

So, some of the facts you’ve mentioned have opened my eyes to how SEO (and websites in general) are still important. So, again, thanks.

With that being said, can you recommend any effective tactics/strategies to approach SEO in 2020?
